The Tackle Coaches Clinic Series, a must-attend opportunity for all current and aspiring coaches looking to build their skills, deepen their understanding of the game, and prepare for a successful season ahead.
The clinic will be held on three evenings at Southport High School (exact location TBD):

June 25 – Team Structure & Practice Planning

June 30 – Offensive Fundamentals & Strategy

July 1 – Defensive Concepts & Technique

Time: 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
This series is a great way to gain insight into how to lead, teach, and inspire young athletes at the developmental level. Whether you’re new to coaching or a seasoned veteran, this is your chance to grow as a coach and help build a positive, competitive culture for Southport football.
Coaching with Character
Coaches are the backbone of our program and role models for every player. As outlined in our Code of Conduct, all Southport coaches are expected to:

Show respect for players, opponents, officials, and facilities at all times.

Inspire a love for the game and emphasize fair competition.

Serve as positive examples, acting in ways that reflect well on the league and community.

Enforce sportsmanship and maintain high standards of discipline and effort.

Respect the judgment of officials and teach players to do the same.

Recognize the field as a classroom where character is developed.

Avoid profanity, and refrain from alcohol or tobacco use around athletes.

Be punctual, prepared, and communicative with players and parents.

Supervise teams to ensure all players honor the Code of Conduct.

Host a preseason parent meeting to build clear, respectful expectations.
