2022 Community Information

Welcome to Junior Cardinals Football & Youth Cheer! We are looking forward to a great 2022 Season!

Junior Cardinals Tackle

Player Must Haves:
- OWN WATER BOTTLE (Practices & Games)
- Chin Strap, Practice Jersey, Practice Pants & Molded Cleats (Play It Again Sports for CHEAP)
- Copy of Birth Certificate, Physical, and Grade Verification (Screenshot of Skyward Student Information or Print Out of Student Information) must be provided to the Team

Manager by July 21st We Provide:
- Helmet & Shoulder Pads (MUST RETURN)
- Game Jersey, Game Pants, 1 Mouthpiece (PLAYER KEEPS)

Key Dates:
- First Practice – July 11th at 6:00 p.m. in the Baseball Field Area
** MANDATORY PARENT MEETING AT 6:10 p.m.
- WEIGH-IN – JULY 30th at Southport High School (MANDATORY)
** JAMBOREE DAY – All CIBFL teams will be scrimmaging and weighing in.
- First Game – August 6th All practices start at 6:00 p.m. on Mondays (Stadium), Tuesdays (Baseball Field), & Thursdays (Baseball
Field) starting on July 11, 2022.

Junior Cardinals Youth Cheer

Cheerleader Must Haves:
- OWN WATER BOTTLE (Practices & Games)

We Provide:
- Uniform (Top, Skirt, Briefs, Socks, Hair Bow, Pom Poms) (CHEERLEADER KEEPS)

Cheer Squad Info:
- Squads are formed to help families! If you have a tackle player, please make sure the Cheer
Coordinator knows to place the cheerleader(s) on the appropriate squad.

Key Dates:
- First Practice – July 18th at 6:00 p.m. in Cardinal Stadium
- First Game – August 6th All practices start at 6:00 p.m. on Mondays (Stadium) & Thursdays (Baseball Field). Coaches will have
schedules available at the first practice.

SOUTHPORT DEVELOPMENTAL FOOTBALL & CHEER

We are a RECREATIONAL league that travels to play other RECREATIONAL teams. A fun, competitive
environment provides a great atmosphere for our players and cheerleaders. SUPPORT players and
cheerleaders by encouraging coaches and rooting for your team! Please review our Code of Conduct on
our website.

FUNDRAISER – We will be running the Soap Fundraiser again this year starting on July 11th and you will
get more information at the first practice. This really helps our league, please contribute!
