2020 Junior Cardinals Tackle & Cheer Updates

We have extended registration until July 12th. However, we do have limited spots remaining in each division. REGISTER NOW

When will the Junior Cardinals tackle and cheer program begin?
Junior Cardinals Tackle practice begins MONDAY - JULY 6th at the Baseball Fields at Southport High School starting at 6:00 p.m.
Junior Cardinals Cheer practice begins MONDAY - JULY 20th at the Baseball Fields at Southport High School starting at 6:00 p.m.

TACKLE Practices will be Monday, Tuesday and Thursday starting at 6:00 p.m. unless your coach states otherwise.
Week of July 6th -NO CONTACT PRACTICES
Week of July 13th - LIGHT CONTACT PRACTICES
Week of July 20th - FULL CONTACT PRACTICES
Week of July 27th - FULL CONTACT PRACTICES
Week of August 3rd - FULL CONTACT PRACTICES
Week of August 10th - FULL CONTACT PRACTICES

CHEER Practices will be Mondays and Thursdays during the month of July starting at 6:00 p.m. unless your coach states otherwise.

What to expect?
Please be prepared to check in with your participant at the gate entering the baseball field area closest to the high school Auditorium entrance. The participant and those attending practice will be asked some standard health screening questions. Then will enter for practice. Please be patient as we work through this step the first few weeks of practice. We ask that people in attendance watching practice, please try to utilize social distancing guidelines.

What to bring?
Each participant needs to turn in Birth Certificate, Physical Form, and complete Grade Verification (during equipment handout.) All "paperwork" is due by August 6th! Participants should also bring their own water bottle/drink. Lastly, please try to limit the amount of people attending practice as much as possible.

When will the games begin?
**MANDATORY WEIGH-IN IS FRIDAY, AUGUST 14th
All participants must attend mandatory weigh-in. Parents will be asked to stay in the car while the participant weighs in. Our first game will be at Southport High School on Saturday, August 15th against Edinburgh. According to IHSAA and State Guidelines, we will be able to have fans attend games.

Playoffs (October 17th) - SECOND ROUND
Playoffs (October 24th) - CHAMPIONSHIP SATURDAY
