Code of Conduct
The Code of Conduct applies to all players, cheerleaders, coaches, parents/guardians, spectators, and Leadership Council members.
Players
Players will:
- Treat officials, coaches, teammates, and opponents with respect.
- Treat facilities with respect and recognize their use is a privilege.
- Exercise self-control at all times.
- Respect officials and accept decisions without argument.
- Win without boasting and lose without excuses.
- Represent the league and community with integrity.
- Play hard within the rules.
- Refrain from profanity, tobacco, alcohol, or drugs.
- Attend practices/games and notify coaches if absent.
Youth Cheerleaders
Cheerleaders will:
- Show respect to officials, coaches, teammates, and opponents.
- Respect all facilities as a privilege.
- Exercise self-control and set the example.
- Support teams with grace and perseverance.
- Represent the league positively.
- Refrain from profanity, tobacco, alcohol, or drugs.
- Attend practices/games and notify coaches if absent.
Coaches
Coaches will:
- Treat players, opponents, and officials with respect.
- Respect all facilities and uphold privilege standards.
- Inspire love for the game and fair competition.
- Model character and leadership.
- Discipline unsportsmanlike behavior.
- Respect official rule interpretations.
- Recognize the field as a classroom.
- Avoid profanity and inappropriate behavior.
- Communicate schedule changes promptly.
- Conduct a preseason parent meeting.
- Supervise team behavior at all times.
Parents / Guardians / Spectators
Parents and spectators will:
- Treat coaches, players, and officials with respect.
- Respect facilities as a privilege.
- Supervise children in attendance.
- Model the behavior expected of athletes.
- Encourage fair competition.
- Support disciplinary actions.
- Defer all communication with officials to coaches.
- Recognize coaches as teachers.
- Avoid profanity and prohibited substances.
- Ensure player attendance and punctuality.
- Supervise athlete behavior in compliance with this Code.
Infraction & Violation Levels
Failure to adhere to the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action.
Written Warning: May be issued for first-time minor offenses.
Level One
Removal from current activity + suspension of next game.
Level Two
Removal from current activity + three (3) game suspension.
Level Three
Removal from current activity + suspension for remainder of season.
Level Four
Removal from current activity + permanent ban from organization.
All infractions are reviewed and voted on by the Leadership Council.
