Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct applies to all players, cheerleaders, coaches, parents/guardians, spectators, and Leadership Council members.


Players

Players will:

  1. Treat officials, coaches, teammates, and opponents with respect.
  2. Treat facilities with respect and recognize their use is a privilege.
  3. Exercise self-control at all times.
  4. Respect officials and accept decisions without argument.
  5. Win without boasting and lose without excuses.
  6. Represent the league and community with integrity.
  7. Play hard within the rules.
  8. Refrain from profanity, tobacco, alcohol, or drugs.
  9. Attend practices/games and notify coaches if absent.

Youth Cheerleaders

Cheerleaders will:

  1. Show respect to officials, coaches, teammates, and opponents.
  2. Respect all facilities as a privilege.
  3. Exercise self-control and set the example.
  4. Support teams with grace and perseverance.
  5. Represent the league positively.
  6. Refrain from profanity, tobacco, alcohol, or drugs.
  7. Attend practices/games and notify coaches if absent.

Coaches

Coaches will:

  1. Treat players, opponents, and officials with respect.
  2. Respect all facilities and uphold privilege standards.
  3. Inspire love for the game and fair competition.
  4. Model character and leadership.
  5. Discipline unsportsmanlike behavior.
  6. Respect official rule interpretations.
  7. Recognize the field as a classroom.
  8. Avoid profanity and inappropriate behavior.
  9. Communicate schedule changes promptly.
  10. Conduct a preseason parent meeting.
  11. Supervise team behavior at all times.

Parents / Guardians / Spectators

Parents and spectators will:

  1. Treat coaches, players, and officials with respect.
  2. Respect facilities as a privilege.
  3. Supervise children in attendance.
  4. Model the behavior expected of athletes.
  5. Encourage fair competition.
  6. Support disciplinary actions.
  7. Defer all communication with officials to coaches.
  8. Recognize coaches as teachers.
  9. Avoid profanity and prohibited substances.
  10. Ensure player attendance and punctuality.
  11. Supervise athlete behavior in compliance with this Code.

Infraction & Violation Levels

Failure to adhere to the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action.

Written Warning: May be issued for first-time minor offenses.

Level One

Removal from current activity + suspension of next game.

Level Two

Removal from current activity + three (3) game suspension.

Level Three

Removal from current activity + suspension for remainder of season.

Level Four

Removal from current activity + permanent ban from organization.

All infractions are reviewed and voted on by the Leadership Council.
